INTRODUCTION
Dunwoody Village is pleased to offer you and your family a comprehensive benefits program. Understanding your healthcare options and determining the best plan options that fit your needs should be a high priority during the Annual Open Enrollment Period. We understand that navigating through your benefits package can be complex and wish to offer as much support and valuable information as possible.
BENEFITS OVERVIEW
MEDICAL PLANS You will have two Meritain medical plan options to choose from for the January 1, 2025 plan year. The plan network will remain as the Aetna Choice Point of Service (POS) II network. ALL members will be receiving a new ID card. The telemedicine benefit offered through the Meritain medical plans will continue to be through Teladoc. DENTAL PLANS The dental plans will continue to be administered through Delta Dental. There are no changes to either plan.
VISION PLAN The vision benefit will continue to be through Vision Benefits of America (VBA). Exams, Frames, and Lenses are covered for you and your dependents once a year.
LIFE AND DISABILITY Dunwoody provides you with Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability at no cost to you! These coverages will now be administered through Lincoln Financial Group.
SPENDING ACCOUNTS Dunwoody will continue to offer a Health Care Spending Account and Dependent Care Spending Account through Ameriflex.
ENROLLMENT CONSIDERATIONS
Open Enrollment this year is ACTIVE. This means that you MUST log in to Ceridian to elect or waive benefits between November 4th and November 22nd. If you do not go into the system to elect or waive benefits, your existing Dunwoody coverages will end effective January 1, 2025.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Generally, Dunwoody employees with full time status working at least 37.5 hours per week are eligible for full coverage. ACA coverage will be offered as applicable by federal law.
DEPENDENT COVERAGE
In addition to electing coverage for yourself, you can elect to cover your eligible dependents. Your eligible dependents include your spouse/domestic partner, your children up to age 26 regardless of student status, marital status, financial dependence or residence and your children of any age who are mentally or physically disabled and depend on you for support.
EMPLOYEES EXPERIENCING A QUALIFIED CHANGE OF STATUS
Unless you experience a life-changing qualifying event, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period.
Qualifying events include:
- Marriage or Divorce
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Change in child’s dependent status
- Death of a spouse, child or other qualified dependent
- Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan
- Entitlement to Medicare or Medicaid
