PET INSURANCE - WISHBONE
Wishbone Pet Health Insurance is designed to provide reimbursement on accidents and illnesses, including office visits and prescription medications. Employees can also choose to add on routine care coverage as well. Wishbone's rates are based on the age, breed, and location of the pet. To learn more about the features included with Wishbone Pet Health Insurance and the cost associated, please see below.
Wishbone Pet Health Insurance will not be included on UKG for enrollment. You will need to enroll directly through BeneConnect on the Wishbone tile or directly on the carrier website www.wishboneinsurance.com/hapag-lloyd. This will not be a payroll deduction. Once on Wishbone's website, click "Enroll Now" to register.
ADOPTION ASSISTANCE
Hapag-Lloyd understands that adopting a child is a joyous occasion, but one that often brings unique financial challenges. For this reason, financial assistance is made available to eligible employees who are building their families through adoption.
Eligibility:
- You must have been employed with Hapag-Lloyd for a minimum of one year
- You must meet the eligibility requirements for the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy
Qualified adoption expenses may be submitted for reimbursement for any amount up to $2,500 per adoption, with a maximum of two adoptions per family ($5,000). Employees receive a week's paid FMLA as part of the adoption benefit.
HTA MEDICARE SUPPORT
Are you turning age 65 soon? Do you have questions on Medicare? Hapag-Lloyd has access to a Medicare Help Team at HTA who can work to understand your specific situation and best advise on:
- Transitioning from a Group Health Policy to Medicare
- When to enroll or defer Medicare Part B if not retiring at age 65
- What happens when you and your spouse do not turn 65 at the same time
- Open Enrollment and Guaranteed Issue Periods and late penalties
- What does Medicare cover and not cover
- Is secondary insurance necessary and what are the options

CIGNA MEDICAL BENEFITS ABROAD (MBA)
Hapag-Lloyd provides coverage for international business travel to our employees at no cost. Under the MBA policy you are covered for unexpected illnesses or injuries that may occur while you are traveling on an approved business trip. Benefits cover:
- Hospital admission, surgeries, out-patient medical care and ambulance services for emergency medical treatment
- Prescription drugs and replacement medicine for prescriptions that are medically necessary
- Dental emergencies (for a sound natural tooth) or alleviation of sudden dental pain
- Medical evacuations if you require immediate medical attention and adequate facilities that are not locally available

LIFELOCK
Hapag-Lloyd provides employees with an Identity Theft Protection benefit through LifeLock. This is at no cost to employees and is fully paid for by Hapag-Lloyd. Employees have the option to buy-up for additional protection for their family members. The premium deduction for the optional family coverage is $3.92 per paycheck and will be deducted on a post-tax basis.

LifeLock’s U.S. based resolution team specialists help resolve identity theft issues that impact members including:

How to use your benefit:
Employees will enroll through UKG for the LifeLock benefit and complete the LifeLock acknowledge form, supplied by your Human Resources department, which confirms your acceptance of LifeLock’s Terms and Conditions. Once enrolled, you will receive an e-mail from LifeLock with instructions on how to take advantage of your LifeLock benefit.
ZURICH BUSINESS TRAVEL ACCIDENT (BTA)
Under Hapag-Lloyd’s Business Travel Accident policy full time employees, spouses and dependent children are covered with the following benefits:
- 24 hour accident protection for business and personal trips
- Accidental Death Benefit
- Accidental Dismemberment Benefit
