LIFE & DISABILITY

Williams' plans and optional additions protect you and your loved ones from the unexpected.

BASIC LIFE INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT

Life insurance can help provide for your loved ones if something were to happen to you. Williams Companies provides full-time employees with life insurance to all eligible full-time team members.

Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) equals your Basic Life Insurance coverage amount and, under qualifying circumstances, is paid to your beneficiary in addition to the Basic Life benefit. If you become dismembered, the policy pays according to a schedule based on the dismemberment.

The benefit will be reduced by 50% when you reach age 70.

VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT

While Williams Companies provides basic life insurance, some team members may want to purchase additional coverage. This is about your personal circumstances. Are you the sole provider for your household? What other expenses do you expect in the future (for example, college tuition for your child)?

Depending on your needs, you may want to consider buying voluntary life insurance. Coverage is also available to eligible dependents. With this benefit, you are responsible for paying the full cost of coverage through payroll deductions. Please note, if you choose to elect Voluntary Life/AD&D, and this is not your first time being eligible for this coverage, you will be required to submit an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form. Please make sure to update your beneficiary information in ADP.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY

Short Term Disability insurance can be referred to as "paycheck" insurance. The benefits payable are a percentage of pre-disability earnings up to a maximum per month.

Williams provides Short Term Disability at no additional cost. This benefit provides a weekly income replacement benefit that equals 60% of your weekly pre-disability earnings up to a maximum of $2,000 per week. Benefits will begin on the eighth calendar day of disability due to illness or injury. Short Term Disability benefits are payable for a maximum of 13 weeks.

LONG TERM DISABILITY

What would you do if a sickness or injury left you unable to come to work and earn your paycheck? In the event that you become disabled from an injury or sickness, disability income benefits will provide a partial replacement for lost income. Williams Companies provides eligible team members with employer-paid Long-Term Disability at no cost through Lincoln Financial. Long Term Disability offers additional financial protection should you become disabled for longer than 90 days. Long Term Disability would then begin (if approved) and would continue based on your disability status and age at the time of disability. Coverage is subject to review and approval.
