Understanding your healthcare options and determining the best plan options that fit your needs should be a high priority during the Annual Open Enrollment Period. We understand that navigating through your benefits package can be complex and wish to offer as much support and valuable information as possible.

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025?

NEW! Voluntary Benefits - Brian Communications is excited to offer 4 new voluntary benefits beginning 3.1.25 through Principal. You will have the option to enroll in an Accident plan, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness and/or a Voluntary Life Insurance plan. These benefits are 100% employee paid.

MEDICAL PLANS - Brian Communications will again offer both the Platinum PPO and Bronze HDHP HRA plans with Independence Blue Cross. Please note the following plan changes:

- Platinum PPO Plan– Rx Copays are slightly increasing

- Bronze HDHP HRA Plan – deductible slightly increasing

DENTAL - There will now be a small cost for the dental plans.

WHAT'S REMAINING THE SAME? PEDIATRIC CARE - IBC offers some pediatric dental and vision benefits through their health plans. VISION RIDER - There is a rider in both IBC health plans that offers vision benefits to both adults and children. VOLUNTARY VISION - There will also be a voluntary vision plan offered through Principal which can be elected regardless of medical enrollment. LIFE AND DISABILITY - Disability and life coverages will remain with principal for the 2025-2026 plan year. WELLNESS PROGRAMS - If you enroll in either Independence Blue Cross plan, there are a variety of wellness programs available to you and any dependents that are enrolled. FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS - Employees are able to enroll in different types of flexible spending accounts to help pay for medical, dependent care, or commuter expenses.

ENROLLMENT CONSIDERATIONS

Elections you make during open enrollment will become effective on March 1, 2025. If you have questions about any of the benefits mentioned in this guide, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Human Resource team or The Graham Company’s Service Line. Open enrollment is the period each year when you can make changes to your benefits. This guide will outline benefit options that are available to you and your family.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Employees regularly working 30 hours or more a week are benefit eligible for benefits the 1st of the month following date of hire.

DEPENDENT COVERAGE

In addition to electing coverage for yourself, you can elect to cover your eligible dependents. Your eligible dependents include your spouse/domestic partner, your children up to age 26 regardless of student status, marital status, financial dependence or residence and your children of any age who are mentally or physically disabled and depend on you for support.

EMPLOYEES EXPERIENCING A QUALIFIED CHANGE OF STATUS

Unless you experience a life-changing qualifying event, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period—each March 1st.

Qualifying events include:

  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Birth or adoption of a child
  • Change in child’s dependent status
  • Death of a spouse, child or other qualified dependent
  • Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan
  • Entitlement to Medicare or Medicaid
