VOLUNTARY BENEFITS
Brian Communications is pleased to offer you additional insurance and income protection for you and your family. Brian Communications recognizes that each employee has different needs and that’s why Brian Communications is offering several different plan options for you to choose from. These benefits are voluntary, which means they are employee paid. Below is just a summary of the different plan offerings.
Critical Illness
Critical Illness through Principal provides a financial, lump sum benefit payment to employees upon a diagnosis of a covered illness. These covered illnesses are typically very severe and likely to render the affected person incapable of working. Because of the financial strain these illnesses can have on individuals and families, critical illness insurance is designed to help ill employees pay their mortgage, seek experimental treatment or handle unexpected medical expenses. Some covered illnesses for which employees can elect coverage for include, but are not limited to, heart attack and stroke coverage.
Hospitalization
Brian Communication is pleased to offer you the opportunity to purchase Hospital Indemnity coverage through Principal. Becoming hospital confined can be very expensive even for those with the best medical plans. Hospital Indemnity will pay for out-of-pocket costs associated with inpatient hospital, outpatient surgery, rehabilitation facility and emergency room. Individuals with high deductible plans are ideal candidates for this type of coverage.
Voluntary Life Insurance
While Brian Communications offers basic life insurance, some employees may want to purchase additional coverage. This is about your personal circumstances. Are you the sole provider for your household? What other expenses do you expect in the future (for example, college tuition for your child)? Depending on your needs, you may want to consider buying voluntary life insurance.
With voluntary life insurance, you are responsible for paying the full cost of coverage through payroll deductions. You can purchase coverage for yourself or for your dependents.
