This guide provides an overview of our offerings, how to access additional resources to learn about coverages and instructions to enroll.

OVERVIEW OF OUR BENEFITS

Who is Eligible for Hamilton Lane's Benefits?

All US-based, full-time employees working 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits. Your benefits will be effective the 1st day of the month following your date of hire.

Permanent US employees that work less than 30 but more than 20 hours per week are eligible for our EAP, 401(k) Retirement, and benefits listed under the Additional and Wellbeing Benefits sections of this guide.

Who Can You Cover? You have the option of enrolling yourself and your eligible family members in our benefits. Eligible family members include:

  • Your Spouse; domestic partner
  • Your children/domestic partner's children who are under the age of 26
  • Your children over the age of 26 who are mentally or physically disabled and dependent upon you for support (proof of condition and dependence must be submitted)

How to Enroll In Our Benefits?

Step 1: Review the Benefit Offerings and Ask Questions

You’ll meet with the Benefits team as part of your on-boarding process to learn about our benefits. We also offer a variety of tools and resources to ensure you understand all of HL’s benefits and can be access throughout the year as well.

  • ALEX, our online decision support tool
  • Materials posted on the Total Rewards site on SharePoint
  • Schedule 1-1 time with the Benefits team
  • Contact Benefits team at benefits@hamiltonlane.com or Slack Dia Cleveland or Jessi Homa.

Step 2: Make Your 2024 Benefit Selections

You can make your benefit selections in Workday but, for some coverages, you must also enroll on the Carrier’s site:

  • Long-Term Care Benefit: Enroll in coverage by visiting www.yourlifesecure.com/portallogin/group-login (Group #01342V needed)
  • Pet Insurance via Nationwide: Enroll via their website by visiting https://benefits.petinsurance.com/hamiltonlane
  • Legal Protection via LegalShield: Enroll in coverage by visiting benefits.legalshield.com/hamiltonlane
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan via Principal: Principal will email you instructions on how to register with their site and select contribution and investment options.
  • Employee Stock Purchasing Program via Morgan Stanley: you’ll receive a registration email from Morgan Stanley within your first month that includes instructions to enroll.
  • Student Loan Repayment Program via SoFi: eligible employees will receive instructions on how to enroll within their first month of their employment.

What If Things Change?

You will not be able to make changes to your benefit elections throughout the year unless you have a qualified life event. Qualified life events include, but are not limited to:

  • Marriage or divorce
  • Birth or adoption, or placement for adoption
  • Legal custody
  • Loss or gain of benefits outside of Hamilton Lane

You have 30 days from the date of the event to submit for a qualified life event. After a qualified life event, your new coverage will begin immediately after processed.
