BENEFITS OVERVIEW

MEDICAL PLAN Pennsylvania Steel Company will continue to offer three medical plan options through Cigna. There will be no changes to plan designs or employee contributions for the July 1, 2024 plan year.

DENTAL & VISION The dental and vision programs will continue to be administered by Cigna for the July 1, 2024 plan year with no changes to plan designs or employee contributions.

LIFE & DISABILITY Pennsylvania Steel Company will continue to offer Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverages to employees at no cost.

ENROLLMENT CONSIDERATIONS

Elections you make during open enrollment will become effective on July 1, 2024. If you have questions about any of the benefits mentioned in this guide, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Human Resource team or The Graham Company’s Service Line. Open enrollment is the period each year when you can make changes to your benefits. This guide will outline benefit options that are available to you and your family.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

All active, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll in the Pennsylvania Steel Company Benefits Program. As a new hire, you are eligible for benefits on the 90th day following your date of hire.

DEPENDENT COVERAGE

Your eligible dependents may include:

  • Your legal spouse
  • Your child(ren) up to age 26 including natural children, legally adopted children, and any other children as defined in the certificate of coverage.
  • Your child(ren) over age 26 who are not able to support themselves due to a physical or mental disability.
  • If you and your spouse are both employees of the company, dependent children can only be covered under either your coverage or your spouse’s coverage, but not under both.

EMPLOYEES EXPERIENCING A QUALIFIED CHANGE OF STATUS

Unless you experience a life-changing qualifying event, you cannot make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period.

Qualifying events include:

  • Marriage or Divorce
  • Birth or adoption of a child
  • Change in child’s dependent status
  • Death of a spouse, child or other qualified dependent
  • Change in employment status or a change in coverage under another employer-sponsored plan
  • Entitlement to Medicare or Medicaid
