Voluntary Benefits
The Merion Cricket Club is pleased to announce the Supplemental Benefit options in 2025, which will be offered by Prudential:
- Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, and Critical Illness Plans administered by Prudential.
These voluntary benefits offer you the opportunity to provide financial protection for yourself and family through the convenience of post-tax payroll deductions.
You may choose these plans with or without participation in any other group plan.
Also note, you will be able to enroll in these plans on Employee Navigator.
LONG-TERM DISABILITY PLAN
Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance replaces a portion of your income to help make ends meet if you are totally disabled due to a covered accident or covered sickness.
Please note, if you decline to enroll in this plan when initially offered, but choose to enroll in the following plan year, you may be required to complete Evidence of Insurability (EOI).
ACCIDENT PLAN
The Accident Plan is a way to stay ahead of the medical and out-of-pocket expenses that add up very quickly after an accidental injury – not just for emergency treatment, hospital stays, and medical exams, but for other expenses such as transportation and lodging expenses. When you have a covered accident, Prudential will send cash benefits directly to you (unless told otherwise). Click below to learn more.
HOSPITAL INDEMNITY
Hospital Indemnity insurance is designed to pay cash benefits directly to you, in the event you are confined to the hospital. Daily benefits are payable for up to 365 days of confinement. Prudential also pays benefits toward surgery (in or out of the hospital), and the Outpatient Surgical Room Charge Benefit assists with the cost of operation room charges. A variety of diagnostic and screening procedures are also covered under the Invasive Diagnostic Exams and Medical Diagnostic and Imaging Benefits. Click below for plan details.
CRITICAL ILLNESS PLAN
This policy helps to pay out-of-pocket expenses in the event you or a family member is diagnosed with a cancer or experiences another adverse health event such as heart attack or stroke. The benefits are paid directly to you, on top of your current medical insurance.
The Critical Illness plan also includes a wellness benefit. This benefit rewards you $50 for completing health screening tests such as your routine health check up, dental exam, and more. For more details on the wellness benefits, please read below.
