BASIC LIFE AND AD&D
NEW YORK LIFE
Life insurance and AD&D can help provide for your loved ones if something were to happen to you. Hamilton Lane provides full-time employees working 30+ hours per week Basic Life and AD&D coverage at no cost. Basic Life and AD&D benefits are effective the 1st of the month after the date of hire.
Benefit Amount: 1x your Annual Base Salary up to $400,000
SHORT TERM DISABILITY (STD)
NEW YORK LIFE
At no cost to the employee, Hamilton Lane offers short term disability insurance to help replace lost income due to injury or sickness. Benefits begin after you have been sick or disabled for 7 consecutive days and will continue for up to 13 weeks. The benefit amount is 60% of weekly pre-disability earnings, with a maximum of $3,750 (minus applicable taxes).
LONG TERM DISABILITY (LTD)
Similar to short term disability, long term disability is offered at no cost to full-time employees working 30+ hours per week. These benefits help replace income for those meeting the definition of disabled for longer than the short term disability period. Benefits begin after 90 consecutive days of disability and replace 60% of pre-disability earnings with a maximum of $10,000 per month.
VOLUNTARY LIFE AND AD&D
NEW YORK LIFE
Full-time employees working 30+ hours per week may purchase additional amounts of Life and AD&D insurance for themselves, their spouse, and their child(ren) only at the time of hire. Employees must elect coverage in order to cover their spouse/child(ren).
Employee Benefit Amount: Increments of $10,000 to a maximum of $150,000
Spouse Benefit Amount: Increments of $5,000 to a maximum of $50,000 (not to exceed 50% of your election)
Child(ren) Benefit Amount: Increments of $15,000 to a maximum of $10,000 (not to exceed 10% of your election)
VOLUNTARY LONG TERM DISABILITY
METLIFE
Hamilton Lane offers full-time employees the opportunity to enroll in Voluntary Long Term Disability (VLTD) through MetLife. Covered employees who meet the definition of disabled are eligible to receive a benefit after 90 consecutive days of disability.
Benefit Amount: 80% of earnings to a maximum of $15,000 per month
LONG TERM CARE INSURANCE
Hamilton Lane offers full-time employees the opportunity to enroll in Long-Term Care Insurance. This insurance pays for care that an individual needs when they cannot safely care for themselves, whether that care is received at home, in the community, or in a nursing home. You have 90 days from your hire date to apply for coverage with simplified underwriting. After 90 days, you can apply with full underwriting.
